Frequently Asked Questions

Also known as Permanent Makeup and Micro-Pigmentation, it is a process where coloured micro pigments are inserted into the shallow dermal layer of the skin, which (after the second visit), should last for several years. This is subtle, natural enhancements – unlike conventional skin tattoos which are deeper and made to be noticeable.

The consultation and treatment procedure last around 2 hours. You should allow at least 5 hours for a full-face procedure (brows, eyes and lips). After four weeks, a second, free of charge treatment is given to further enhance and strengthen the shape/colour if required.

Semi-Permanent Make-up should last for several years. Over that time the colour will fade and break down depending on your skin type, sun exposure and exposure to chemicals in beauty creams and products. It is suggested that you come back to us for a ‘Colour Boost Retouch Application’ every 12 months to keep the look and colour complete and fresh. A ‘Colour Boost Retouch Application’ treatment takes half the time to complete and the treatment is less than half the current full treatment price.

Clients report that having a procedure is like having their eyebrows plucked or their legs waxed. Some clients feel no discomfort at all – others feel minimal discomfort similar to a scratch. We can use topical anaesthetics to control pain tolerance. Once the procedure is complete there is no pain or discomfort whatsoever.

When the treatment is complete, the treated area may be a little red and possibly swollen and the colour will appear darker and more intense than the final result. This will only last for a few days until the area exfoliates naturally and the true, lighter colour emerges. Generally, it is only you who notices the darker, intense colour for the first few days. It is suggested that if you are having an eyeliner procedure, you bring a pair of dark glasses with you, as you may look as if you have been crying. A small inconvenience but the results will be well worth it!

A comprehensive Aftercare Advice Sheet will be provided to you, along with soothing balm to cover the treated area when the skin appears dry during the initial healing process.
